Description:

The Patient Companion - Bed Tower Team program offers volunteers the opportunity to provide comfort, entertainment, friendship and stimulation to pediatric patients our Transitional Care and Pediatric Medical Rehabilitation Unit (PMRU).

 

By spending one-on-one time with patients, Patient Companions - Bed Tower Team volunteers support the work of the Hospital’s staff and provide peace-of-mind to patients’ families.

 

Volunteer - Time Commitment:

 

Patient Companion - Bed Tower Team volunteers are expected to serve a two-hour shift, once a week.

 

Patient Companion - Bed Tower Team volunteers are expected to serve a minimum six-month commitment.

 

Volunteer - Available Days, Times, and Locations:

 

Patient Companion - Bed Tower Team shifts are currently available for the following days of the week:

  • Sunday
  • Monday
  • Tuesday
  • Wednesday
  • Thursday
  • Friday
  • Saturday

 

Patient Companion - Bed Tower Team offers the following shift times daily:

  • 9 am to 11 am
  • 2 pm to 4 pm
  • 4 pm to 6 pm
  • 6 pm to 8 pm

 

Patient Companion - Bed Tower Team offers the following areas of the hospital:

  • Transitional Care (3rd Floor)
  • Pediatric Medical Rehabilitation Unit (4th Floor)
