Volunteer - Observe - Learn - Unify - Mentor - Explore
The VOLUME Summer Program at Bethany Children’s Health Center is a service-based, hands-on learning experience for high school students hoping to pursue degrees or careers in medicine, allied health, and healthcare administration.
Participants have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with multiple staff members of various healthcare-related fields, pediatric patients at bedside, special education classrooms, and in groups of fellow peers from schools throughout the Oklahoma City metro.

The Adapted Recreation & Fine Arts Support program offers volunteers the opportunity to interact with patients through sports related activities within the Activities of Daily Living, Adaptive Baseball Field, Fine Arts and other Activities of Daily Living areas.
Volunteers support the work of the Hospital’s staff and provide companionship, friendship, education, encouragement, physical, and mental activities for patients.

The Animal-Assisted Pet Therapy program offers handlers and their pets an opportunity to provide comfort, entertainment, companionship, and assistance with patient therapy.
By spending time one-on-one and in groups of patients, families, staff, and guests, Animal-Assisted Pet Therapy teams bring a sense of normalcy into the long-term healthcare setting and support mental and emotional goals of all individuals the teams may spend time with.
The Koala Care program offers volunteers the opportunity to provide comfort, stimulation, and peace to infant patients throughout the Hospital.
By spending one-on-one time with patients, Koala Care volunteers support the work Hospital staff by providing soothing interaction with infants and bringing peace-of-mind to patient families.

The Patient Companion - Bed Tower Team program offers volunteers the opportunity to provide comfort, entertainment, friendship and stimulation to pediatric patients our Transitional Care and Pediatric Medical Rehabilitation Unit (PMRU).
