Volunteer - Patient Companion - Complex Care Team

Description:

The Patient Companion - Complex Care Team program offers volunteers the opportunity to provide comfort, entertainment, friendship and stimulation to Complex Care patients who often present chronic health conditions and require ongoing medical care.

 

By spending one-on-one time with patients, Patient Companion - Complex Care Team volunteers support the work of the Hospital’s staff and provide peace-of-mind to patients’ families.

Volunteer - Time Commitment:

 

Patient Companion - Complex Care Team volunteers are expected to serve a two-hour shift, once a week.

 

Patient Companion - Complex Care Team volunteers are expected to serve a minimum six-month commitment.

 

Volunteer - Available Days, Times, and Locations:

 

Patient Companion - Complex Care Team shifts are currently available for the following days of the week:

• Sunday
• Monday
• Tuesday
• Wednesday
• Thursday
• Friday
• Saturday

 

Patient Companion - Complex Care Team offers the following shift times daily:

• 9 am to 11 am
• 2 pm to 4 pm
• 4 pm to 6 pm
• 6 pm to 8 pm

 

Patient Companion - Complex Care Team offers the following areas of the hospital:

• Complex Care (CC)
• Pediatric Medical Rehabilitation Unit (PMRU) South
