Bethany Children's - Community Opportunity  -  Minimum Age to Serve: 18+

Thank you for joining us as we take to the streets on Thursday, July 4th, to represent Bethany Children's Health Center in the Bethany Boom Fourth of July Parade! This year we'll be raising awareness about pediatric injury prevention. DATE: 7/4/2024 SHIFT TIME: 9:00am-12:00pm Volunteers during this event will march behind the Safe Kids van, tossing candy to the parade goers. Event Attire: -T-Shirt: Bethany Children's Health Center T-Shirt to be provided at the event -Pants or longer shorts suitable for walking in the heat are encouraged -Shoes are suggested to be tennis shoes or other closed-toed shoes suitable for walking *We kindly ask all clothing to be appropriate with no holes, stains, etc. Thank you!* IMPORTANT DETAILS: Please park in the hospital parking garage near Beaver and 39th Expressway and walk to our meet up location, which is just North of the intersection of 39th Expressway and Peniel Street on Peniel in the first parking lot on the West side of the street. It takes approximately 12 minutes to walk there, so please allow plenty of time to be in place by 9:00am. We will meet by the Safe Kids Van (row 8, space 31). The Parade will begin at 10:00am. The parade route is one mile in length. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING CHILDREN PARTICIPATING* You are welcome to bring a child under the age of 18 but they must be accompanied by an adult. If you are bringing a child under 18 don’t sign them up, please reach out to me, Susan Hartmann, at [email protected]. I will provide you with a special waiver for your child to participate and arrange for their t-shirt. The shirts provided for the kids will be adult sizes only, the smallest available will be adult extra small. The deadline to sign-up is Friday, June 28th.
