Bethany Children's - Community Opportunity

Thank you for your interest in serving our hospital and patients during the holiday season, and for choosing to partner with Bethany Children’s Health Center. We are grateful for your willingness to bring hope, creativity, and connection to the children and families we serve. To schedule your serving opportunity, please contact [email protected] or call 405-440-6756. All opportunities must be scheduled prior to arrival. Community Servants can select from the following service opportunities: Book Reading Spend time reading with patients, sharing stories, and engaging in conversation to encourage imagination, comfort, and social connection. Arts & Crafts Assist patients with creative projects such as coloring, painting, or simple crafts designed to promote expression, recreation, and joy. Available Days and Times: Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Each serving opportunity includes a 30-minute facility tour followed by 1.5 hours of direct patient engagement through the selected activity. Important Information Before serving, the following steps must occur: • Phone or Email Discussion of Opportunity • Tour of Facility Next Steps Include: • Discussion of potential dates • Completion of Community Servant Waivers and Safe Touch Policy paperwork for all attendees (adults and minors) • If serving as an organization, completion of an agreement confirming that all participants from the company are not felons
